By airplane from Venice
Arriving by airplane in Venice, you have to take a bus to Mestre train station or "Mestre FS" (timetable HERE):
Bus stops Treviso - Mestre FS - Venezia P.le Roma (Venice P.le Roma bus terminal - row no. D2
): journey time 45' - One way ticket € 4,30 - Return ticket € 7,60 (tickets can be purchased at the bureau de change box in the airport arrivals lounge)
From Mestre FS catch a train to Trieste train station (you will find a train each hour).
By airplane from Trieste
Arriving by airplane in Trieste, you have to take a bus to Trieste train station. Tickets for Public Transport service "APT" to TRIESTE and UDINE (Coach 51) can be purchased at the airport: at the bar on the first floor
or in the Arrivals Hall, with an automatic machine for selfticketing.
From Trieste train station to the University
Take the 17/ bus, in front of the main entrance of the train station, and you will arrive in front of University.
From Trieste train station to ICTP
Take the 36 bus, to find the bus just go out from the left entrance and cross the street.
