The "11th Central-European Workshop on Quantum Optics" will be held this year from July 18 to 20 in Trieste, Italy. It will be on the weekend following the conference "Laser Physics 2004" that is held at Abdus Salam ICTP, Miramare, Trieste.

The meeting, being a continuation of a successful series, will offer excellent opportunities for the exchange of ideas and research results among scientists working in the broader field of quantum optics and related areas. The workshop will be a forum for all aspects of quantum optics, including the foundations of quantum mechanics, quantum communication/information, matter waves, and quantum-optics related topics of atomic, molecular, and optical physics.

The conference site will be the University of Trieste. There will be sessions for oral and poster presentations, including a prize for the best abstract for young eastern-european participants.

Abstracts with title, authors, affiliation and summary (max. one page) can be submitted from now on by sending a Word or LaTeX file to the following email address with subject "CEWQO Abstract": cewqo@dsch.units.it

For the accommodation participants that also attend the Laser Physics conference may extend their rooms at ICTP housing. Furthermore, Trieste offers many hotels and pensions where participants can stay. Further details on the registration will be given at a later time.
